   this is kid stuff. wet ‘n wild arlington (now called hurricane harbor) had something called the BOMB BAY, because the hatch was shaped like a BOMB. the drop was completely vertical. and the slide below was an open air slide, meaning for a fraction of a second, after the trap door was tripped, you were hundreds of feet up in the air, free falling. until you hit the slide. they got rid of it. too dangerous. i could go on.
